AC induction rotor condition testing
A C - induction motors are the most common energy sources to drive your machinery and industrial equipment. That is while any motors of your facilities deserve to be checked with the finest condition measurements available.

Normally, the inspection of the rotor of an AC-induction motor requires that the motor must be removed from the service. Dye, growler, single phase, and feeler gauge tests must then be conducted to check for cracked or broken rotor bars, end rings, stationary and rotating air gap problems. All of this assumes that you can simulate the thermal condition of the rotor in it's service condition.

We offer a better method for potential problems. M.A.C.E. is using the motors current- and vibration signature and to analyze possible defects inside the motor and to give you the customer a detailed information about the electrical and mechanical condition without interrupting your process. Signs of degradation and the actual damage potential are identified so that any corrective action, if necessary, can be planned well in advance
Cracked or broken rotor bars
  1. Cracked rotor end rings
  2. High resistance joints in squirrel cage winding
  3. Casting porosities or blow-holes in aluminum die-cast rotors
  4. Poor joint brazing in fabricated rotors
  5. Rotor winding problems in slip-ring induction motors
  6. Stationary or rotating air gab irregularities
  7. Unbalanced magnetic pull
  8. Mechanical unbalance
  9. Bent shaft, thermal bow
  10. Out of round stator, rotor or bearings
  11. Damaged bearings
  12. Damaged gears
We will diagnose these problems:
